Shungite - The Healing Stone, The Protective Stone
Shungite is a unique material found only in the Karelia region between Russia and Finland. Shungite and Elite Shungite are exclusively found and mined on the western shore of Lake Onega. Researchers are divided on whether Shungite and Noble Shungite have terrestrial or cosmic origins. Russian researchers speculate that Shungite and Noble Shungite may be fragments of the once-collapsed planet Phaeton, which, according to a Greek legend, fell to the Amber Coast. What is certain, however, is that the material formed at least 600 million years ago. Visually, the healing stone, with its black-gray color, somewhat resembles charcoal. In fact, the healing stone is a carbon fullerene, whose molecules are symmetrically arranged in pentagons or hexagons and are hollow inside. These geometric properties are found in many natural formations; for example, honeycombs and snowflakes also consist of uniform hexagons. While the material is electrically conductive, it is not magnetic. Fullerenes have been known since the early 1970s, but the general public only became aware of their existence in 1985 when three renowned researchers published an article about these hollow molecules in the journal Nature, for which they later received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
Distinguishing Shungite and Noble Shungite, Healing Effects, and Chakra Alignment
The healing stone Shungite is composed of up to 95 percent carbon, with minor impurities of silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium, potassium, sulfur, calcium, phosphorus, and other trace elements. The healing stone Noble Shungite contains a particularly high purity with 95 to 98 percent carbon, and is believed to have a higher healing power. The gemstone can be used in various ways, including as a powdered natural remedy or processed into Shungite water, which can be consumed after preparation with filtered water. Shungite possesses antibacterial properties. Drinking Shungite water or using it in food preparation is said to heal digestive disorders, rejuvenate the body and mind, and enhance vitality.
The gemstone is popular in the jewelry industry and is often used to create mystical bracelets, bangles, necklaces, or rings. The dark gemstone contrasts beautifully with silver jewelry. The gemstone is harmonizing for every chakra. Each chakra has its unique vibrational range that governs emotional communication. The gemstone’s vibrations resonate with the chakra, facilitating a multifaceted energy exchange with the body and the ability to dissolve all kinds of energetic blockages. Shungite combines solar structure (hexagonal) with earth structure (pentagonal) in a harmonious arrangement. Energetic discharge is achieved using hematite stones. The healing stone is placed on a bed of hematite stones in a natural container (e.g., soapstone bowl). After several hours of discharge time, the gemstone can be picked up again and should feel slightly tingly or pulsing. Recharging is accomplished using crystal quartz charging stones placed in a natural bowl. The Shungite or Noble Shungite should be placed on the charging stones for several hours to achieve full recharging.
Uses for Shungite and Noble Shungite
The gemstone can be worn as a pendant around the neck. Within five to ten days, the chakra ensures that the wearer releases stress and negative emotions, returning to balance. The healing stone keeps flowers and food fresh for longer, and meat and dairy products retain their properties for an extended period. Shungite baths improve physical well-being, relieve fatigue, enhance blood circulation, and increase concentration and performance. As a pyramid, the gemstone provides complete protection against all disruptive fields, primarily electromagnetic waves like mobile phone radiation or geopathic fields such as water veins or earth grids.
